Father’s Day: Connection through Curiosity
Father’s Day can look quite different for everyone. For some, it might be a phone call due to physical distance, or it might be a day of grieving an absence, or a day of gathering your family. Whatever your circumstance, I invite you to consider how you might create connection with loved ones through curiosity.
Proximity to people and time spent together can make us feel like we already "know" someone. Curiosity gives us the chance to challenge our assumptions and discover something new. If you’ve ever left a family gathering wanting more, feeling frustrated, or socially empty, try injecting a bit of curiosity into the room. Here are some questions you can ask today (And if you’re a dad, maybe forward these to your kids!) Ask a couple, or feel free to pull out this email and read them directly, interview-style. Whatever helps reduce the barriers in your mind and fosters connection through curiosity.
